Thank you for trusting YDE as a partner in your child’s education. This website is for all those who are seeking Tuition Assistance at YDE for the 2017-2018 school year.

Please be assured that your financial inquiry will be kept in the strictest confidence. YDE respects families of all financial means, and will do our best to provide a school of elevated academic, ethical, and religious enrichment for our community’s children of all financial backgrounds.

Families who have previously enrolled in tuition assistance must re-apply if they are seeking assistance this year.

 

YDE Tuition Assistance Policy

There will be 3 types of Financial Assistance granted based on financial need:

Some families will be granted a ‘Tuition Discount’, some families will be granted ‘Financial Aid’, and for some families there will be a combination of both.

a)     Tuition assistance in the form of a reduced tuition

b)     Combination tuition assistance and financial aid

c)     Interest-free loans (“financial aid”)

The following conditions apply to all applicants for Tuition Assistance:

a)     There will be no form of Tuition Assistance for Early Childhood students. Only Kindergarten and up are eligible.

b)     Applications will only be considered when the $500 registration fee has been paid and all prior year commitments have been satisfied.

c)     Assistance will be based on need as determined by a third party firm which will review your application and request for assistance.

d)     The maximum amount of tuition assistance for any one student shall be no more than 50% of the tuition rate. No exceptions.

e)      All applications for assistance must be received by April 10, 2017. Any applications received after April 10 will not be considered.

g)     All applications must be received complete. Any application missing information will be rejected.

Application Instructions

Prior to completing the application, please send in your Enrollment Contract fully completed with all the forms by April 10, 2017 as directed on the Contract Cover Letter. On the contract page itself (the page with the tuition amount due), write the words “Requesting T.A.

Once you have submitted your enrollment contract with registration fee as outlined above, please click on the Tuition Assistance application link at the bottom of this page. All Tuition Assistance applications must be submitted online and completed no later than April 10, 2017.

A third party professional Tuition Assistance firm called TADS ( ‘Tuition Assistance Data Services’) will be collecting, verifying, analyzing, and summarizing the data for us. Their service is essential, enabling us to review and perform a comprehensive and fair evaluation of all the submissions, thereby yielding impartial and equitable results.

At the bottom of this web page you will notice two button links:

a)     The first link downloads the application preparation ‘worksheet’. You should download and print this sheet. Read the worksheet, and prepare everything contained on the worksheet BEFORE you sit down and fill out the online form.

b)     The second link takes you to the online application form. You will need to create a user ID and password. You can use the same user ID and password each year. You may begin the application, save it, and log back in at a later time to finish it. You can also log in to check the status of your application after it is completed.

You will be required to submit the following documentation as part of the application process:

You can scan and upload the requested documentation, or you can directly fax the documents to TADS at 612.548.3326. Ensure to write your Reference number on all faxed pages. You will be assigned a reference number when you begin the online application process.

a)     Most previous IRS Form 1040

b)     Your most recent W2

c)     Your most recent paycheck stubs

d)     If you own a business, trust or receive rental income, you must also include: All pages of your most recent 1040 tax return, Most recent Form 1120, Form 1120S, Form 1065, or form 1041

e)     Photos of both parents

f)      YDE Supplemental Questionnaire

You may call the Customer Service team at TADS if you have questions when filling out the application. Their toll free phone number is: 1.800.477.8237. They are open from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM on weekdays.

Note: TADS collects a fee for this process. The cost is $34.00 per family. There is an additional $19.00 fee for those who own a business, as reviewing the additional tax documentation does require more services.

 

Acknowledgments

By clicking the any of the applications below, you hereby acknowledge that:

  1. You have read and understand the above YDE Tuition Assistance Procedures and Guidelines.
  2. Our policy is designed to be fair and equitable to families of all income levels.
  3. You shall keep any and all information in confidence, and will not disclose the outcome of your application with anyone whatsoever.
  4. Failure to maintain strict secrecy about you final tuition schedule shall be cause for compete forfeiture of the granted Tuition Assistance.
  5. In the event you fail to meet your Tuition Assistance agreed upon financial obligations, that you shall forfeit the right to any future Tuition Assistance, and that your child may be removed from YDE.
