Miss Rena Fish, Girls Elementary School Assistant Principal

Miss Rena Fish has been in the field of education for almost 20 years, working in the Syrian community for the large majority of that time. Working as a classroom teacher led Miss Fish toward giving back through mentoring new teachers. She participated in the Jewish New Teachers Project which trained her to lead teachers in a process of collaboration and growth.
With a dual Masters in Special Education and Educational Leadership, Miss Fish continues to participate in learning opportunities. After completing the Principals’ Training Initiative through the Consortium of Jewish Day Schools she has been an active participant in their ongoing growth as a speaker for other principals as well as, joining in their programming to continue learning from her colleagues. Miss Fish believes that all students can achieve success with the right tools.

Having been a part of the YDE family for the last 3 years serving as Director of special services and General Studies Curriculum Coordinator, we are pleased to have Miss Fish extend her role to Assistant Principal of General Studies.

We look forward to a very exciting year!
